Eastiny 7 Hotel on Soi 7 in Pattaya Beach, Thailand, is an excellent choice if you like being in the middle of the action.

Soi 7 and 8 are primarily “beer bar” streets, with only a few gogo style dance bars. Eastiny 7 is right in the middle of Soi 7, making it a great location in this part of Pattaya.

I stayed there for a week in September/October 2011, and was pleasantly surprised at the value this hotel brings. It’s only about 4 years old, and is built to the Eastiny Group’s high standards. If you browse on Booking.com for Eastiny Group, you can see that all of the rooms in all of their Pattaya Hotels look the same, with a few minor differences. They have a formula that they apply to their hotels, and the formula works.

The hotel is clean and quiet, with 99 rooms. They have two basic room types at this hotel, Standard and Superior. Since this hotel is in a noisy area, I highly recommend asking specifically for a Superior room on a high floor, in the back of the hotel. This will get you a very quiet room, even though the beer bars right outside are hopping!

Rates for the Superior are roughly $35 a night, and it comes with free, extremely fast Internet access in the room, using a network cable. You can bring your own cable, or borrow one from the front desk (100 baht deposit). They do provide Wireless in the rooms, but they charge small daily fee for it’s use. They do have free WiFi in the lobby and restaurant.

Speaking of the restaurant, Eastiny 7 Superior rooms come with a free breakfast buffet. It was good food, with eggs to order. I had Spanish omelets every day along with the bottomless cup of coffee. Not bad! The breakfast buffet at Eastiny 7 is a little limited in choices, at least as compared to the other Eastiny Group hotels. It was fully satisfactory for me.
